Can I transfer my existing phone number to iTalkBB?
We can transfer your existing phone number to your iTalkBB Home Phone for free. The number transfer process takes approximately 2-6 weeks. During the number transfer process, please DO NOT cancel your phone service with your current service provider. We provide you with a temporary number. After your number is successfully transferred to your iTalkBB Home Phone, the temporary number will cease to be effective.Click here for more details.
Will the Number Transfer process affect my phone use?
No. Both the number you want to transfer and your temporary number will function normally during the number transfer process. In rare condition, during the day the number transfer succeeds, there might be several hours you can't use your iTalkBB Home Phone.
How to submit the number transfer request?
iTalkBB Home Phone can transfer your existing phone number from your current service provider for free.
1. Fill out the Letter of Authorization online.
2. Upload the first page of your recent phone bill from the service provider of your existing phone number to your iTalkBB online account or email it to Support@iTalkBB.com.au。
Note:
1. Uploading the phone bills from your service provider of your existing phone number is compulsory if you request for the number transfer.
2. Customers hold the duty to cooperate with customer service people of iTalkBB to make sure the information provided is correct and match the data held by their current service provider. For example, user name, phone number, account number of current carrier. Your number transfer process may be rejected or delayed if the information you submitted is incorrect.
3. During the number transfer process, please DO NOT cancel your phone service with your current service provider, or your number may be lost resulted in unsuccessful number transfer.
How do I know the number is successfully transferred?
Number transfer usually takes 2-6 weeks. You may click here to check the number transfer status. You may also call our 24/7 customer service line 1-800-248-255 to check the number transfer progress.
Do I need to cancel my current phone service during number transfer?
Note: During the number transfer process, DO NOT cancel your phone service with your current carrier. Otherwise your number may be lost which causes your number transfer fail. After your number has been successfully transferred to iTalkBB, your previous phone service will be automatically cancelled. You don't need to cancel the service yourself. However, we suggest you should contact your phone company to confirm the termination of the service.
Can all telephone numbers be transferred to iTalkBB?
Most of the numbers can be transferred without problem. However, for ADSL/ADSL2+ customers, their telephone service is bundled with broadband service. Therefore, the telephone service cannot be canceled alone. If you are an ADSL/ASDL2+ customer, please verify with your ADSL/ADSL2+ company before you submit the telephone transfer application. iTalkBB is not responsible for any loss due to number transfer.
